The
massage is a technique used
to relieve aches and blemishes.
This only technique is not a therapy, but it takes part in
physiotherapy and alternative medicine. There are a lot of
kinds, with different finalities: relaxing, muscular, sports,
anti-dolour, aesthetic.
The meaning of the word
"massage" is derived
from Arab "mass": to touch and from Greek "maggely":
mixture - cure.
With the word massage is defined a whole of actions practised
with hands, finalised to stimulate answers of our body.
The fundamental techniques of massage are: skimming, friction,
kneading, pressure and vibration.
In SHIATSUGENOVA, besides shiatsu treatment, are practised
some of other kinds of Massage:
Lymph drainage
It uses handily pumping, which stimulates lymphatic circulation
helping reduction of swellings, elimination of toxins and
liquids in excess. It's useful to reduce heavy feeling on
inferior limbs, to eliminate swelling of face and to promote
natural immunity defences of the organism.
Haemo lymphatic massage
It re-establishes blood and lymph circulation, in peripheral
zones also, removing toxins and lactic acid from muscles
and skin, it re-oxygenates tissues, it improves trophysm
of muscular masses and skin, having an anti-ageing action.
It's particularly useful to fight and prevent the evolving
of the steps of formation of cellulites or localised adiposities.

Aesthetic massage
It fights water retention and blemishes with specific drainage
and stimulation of circulation techniques, centred on inferior
limbs and on areas with adipose depots.

Myofascial massage
Stretching techniques on muscular bundles finalised to reduce
muscular and tendons' tensions, muscular aches and improving
articular mobility.
Connective massage
This kind of massage is part of the classic technique of
mass therapy, thus called by a German physiotherapist, Dicke,
who observed a diminution of ache with strong frictions
on sacral region. The connective massage causes a normalisation
of the elastic tension and the removal of every kind of
tissues' reaction. The connective issue is affected when
appears stuck on tissue below during palpation, aching,
thickened, hard, oedematous, sandy, inflamed, locked and
dry. The affection can be caused by traumas, surgical operation,
contraction of inflamed muscles below in its area or tensions
coming from other organs such far, which have their reflected
area in that point. The connective massage is particularly
advisable for cellulite, typical affection of this tissue,
pathologies of spine, articular diseases, periarteritis,
scapula-humerus aches, contractures and back-ache.
Anti-stress massage
It's a technique with the purpose of relaxing tissues and
muscles, to optimise psycho-physical balance of the individual.
The movements are slow and repetitive, in progression they
give a pleasant sensation of "winding round".
The harmonious rhythm of execution favours confidence between
patient and practitioner.
Californian massage
It's an holistic massage, so whole, in which nothing is
neglected, every single part of our body is considered.
It's realised with long winding hot movements, the body
of the receiver have to be totally involved from this heat
wave. It starts with motions of resting, listening, possibly
in harmony with the brief of our patient: it's important
to inject to the receiver assurance and calm. Every single
our passage will have a precise meaning. For example the
back represents safety and aggressiveness, foots and legs
our relation with reality, hands and arms our need to receive
and give.
Sports massage
It has three main effects: it prepares muscles to the use,
it relaxes muscles after activity and it improves recover
time. It can also be practiced to give a simple general
or local relaxation.
It is useful to: relax contract muscles, to improve circulation,
to promote the metabolic exchange, to raise drainage of
toxins produced during effort, to improve tissues' oxygenation,
to accelerate recover time, to produce a beneficial effect
on nervous system, to promote a sense of relaxation.
Plantar reflexology
It's a manual treatment of the many nervous correspondences
situated in the plantar zones, which favours our natural
"self-healing" of the body, reinstating the whole
organism to a state of balance and harmony.
